At the current moment as far as we are aware at the moment, this Steam key override has been unintentional as it has only affected users randomly and not the entire player base as far as I am aware at the current stage of time. There has also been " Release Override" which explains why some beta Kickstarterse and DLC owners have had had their keys randomly removed from their account.
SMALLAND CLOSED BETA ACCESS UPDATE
As some of you may already be aware after the most recent update of the closed beta branch, everyone who have no Kickstarter beta access or own acid spitter DLC no longer have access to beta branch as the servers and characters have been wiped.
